Bridging the gap between compact clip-on sunshades and multi-staged matte boxes, Bright Tangerine’s Misfit Matte Box Kit is versatile while remaining lightweight. This kit is based on the carbon fiber Misfit core, which can hold two 4×5.65″ filters and, with the twist of a knob, can be expanded to hold three filters. For holding filters, two trays are included, and they mount in the Misfit’s fixed stages. Also included is a carbon fiber top flag for blocking any reflections. Once you’re ready to mount the matte box to your lens, use the 114mm clamp to secure it to the front and you’re ready to shoot. This is the core foundation of the Bright Tangerine Misfit Matte Box. It features the core frame, carbon fiber shade, and a two-stage/three-stage adjustable filter stage assembly. Ultra compact and lightweight, this 4 x 5.65″ matte box can go from accepting two filters to accepting three filters in a few seconds, without adding a third stage.
